Dental Aesthetics
The minimally invasive prostheses (incrustations) are small portions of ceramic or other materials (Lava Ultimate 3M, Enamic Vita) that replace parts of teeth that have been lost either by caries or fracture. It is a much more conservative treatment than a crown (sheath), since to place an incrustation it is hardly necessary to eliminate healthy dental tissue.
From the aesthetic point of view, a ceramic inlay mimics much better than a crown when placed on a tooth. In addition, these restorations are metal-free, which is why they achieve a much better aesthetics than metal-based restorations, because they mimic the color of the teeth with much greater precision.
